Exhibition: “Scientific insight into the stem cells”

The Institute of Biology and Immunology of Reproduction (IBIR) - BAS will present an exhibition dedicated to "Scientific insight into stem cells". The exhibition will be opened on 21^st of April 2016 at the lobby of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences Headquarters (str. "November 15", 1).

The topic of stem cells and the prospects for their application for the purposes of cell-based therapies is highly relevant globally. Stem cells have brought a lot of hope for being a source for treatment of numerous diseases such as diabetes, haematological disorders, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, retinopathy, reproductive problems and others.

The Institute is a founder of the studies on stem cells in Bulgaria. At the exhibition general information about stem cell possibility of use in regenerative medicine will be presented as well as the original achievements of IBIR scientists in this area.
