On the 20-th of April 2017 in the meeting hall of IBIR, at 13.30 h, a scientific seminar will take place according to the following program:
DENDRITIC CELLS IN REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM AND IN TUMOR ENVIRONMENT
Assoc. Prof. D.S. Kyurkchiev, DSc
Laboratory of Clinical immunology, University hospital “St. Ivan Rilski”
Medical University of Sofia
Monocyte derived dendritic cells (DCs) are antigen-presenting cells and their differentiation, maturation, expression of co-stimulatory molecules and cytokine secretion may lead either of activation of the immune response or to induction of tolerance. Tolerogenic dendritic cells (tDCs) are described in reproductive system as well as in tumor environment. The recent presentation will be focus on communication of DCs with additional immunosuppressive cells (Tregs and mesenchymal stem cells) as well as with some hormones localized in reproductive system as well as in tumor environment.
Everyone is welcome!
